Ottawa's music community is always vibrant, but especially so in the summer time. If you're looking for festivals, fundraisers, or free ways to listen to some good music events in Ottawa this July, check out our list below.👇

Ottawa's biggest music festival is back! No matter what genre of music you like, you're sure to have a total blast at Bluesfest. With headliners Lainey Wilson, Hozier, Turnstile, Shania Twain, Def Leppard, Sean Paul, Green Day, Papa Roach, and Kaytranda, there's a sound for everyone to enjoy.


You can still purchase day passes or full festival passes online ahead of Friday's opening show. The by-day lineup is available if you're interested in checking out some of the smaller artists that will also be performing.

It's once again time to fundraise through HOPE Volleyball SummerFest! If you're not registered for a team or volleyball isn't your thing, we encourage you to check out the live music throughout the day. Performers include Lazzy Lung, Hawksley Workman, Sloan, and The Glorious Sons. You can find the full set schedule here.



Get out, listen to some tunes, and raise money for several great causes!

Rock out to your favourite bands and sing your emo heart out at Emo Night Ottawa, also dubbed the "unofficial afterparty" for Turnstile at Bluesfest. Featuring music from Blink-182, The Used, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and more. General admission tickets are still available but selling out fast.


Enjoy an awesome night belting lyrics to some of the best in pop-punk, screamo, metalcore, and rock!

Experience world-renowned artists as they come together for an versatile festival celebrating chamber music from Canada and across the world! From July 18 to 27, dive into a world of innovative music in various locations across the city of Ottawa.


There are four tiers of tickets available for purchase, though Chamberfest also encourages participation through free community events, which you can find here.




📍 Rideau Canal, from the NAC to Lansdowne Park.

📅 Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. until July 26.

Musicians Miguel de Armas, DYSTOH, and others will be floating along the Rideau Canal on Thursdays and Saturdays throughout July for the public's enjoyment.


The boat is scheduled to take off from Paul's Boat Line (outside the National Arts Centre) and arrive at Lansdowne Park approximately 45 minutes later, where it will turn back around.


Bring a blanket or some chairs, find a spot along the canal, and enjoy some free, live music.

📅 July 29 at 7:00 p.m.

One of the biggest influencers of pop music is making her way to Ottawa: Katy Perry! If you're a fan of pop culture, this show is one you wouldn't want to miss. Enjoy the Lifetimes Tour at the Canadian Tire Centre on July 29.


Face value tickets are no longer available, but you can find resale on Ticketmaster here.



📍 Ottawa Stadium (300 Coventry Road)

📅 July 11, gates at 6:00 p.m., game at 7:00 p.m.

Baby let the games begin! Purchase your ticket(s) online for a night of Taylor Swift hits, friendship bracelet giveaways, and more, all at an Ottawa Titans game! Support our local baseball team and celebrate one of the world's biggest artists with other Swifties.


The first 500 fans get a free Titans Friendship bracelet, so be sure to arrive when the gates open at 6:00 p.m. There will also be a stunning fireworks show after the game, so stick around for the full event.
